Investors ask about their own roof, not panel brands.

Someone researching rooftop solar arrives with questions such as 'factory roof solar cost', 'how net metering works' or 'solar on farmland'. Panel and inverter brands come second; first they look at their own roof, their bill and the grid connection conditions.

So the site opens from the roof type: industrial roofs, agricultural irrigation, homes. At the end of each section the survey form asks for the roof type, approximate area, province and monthly consumption.

What to ask before you commission a solar site

  • Whose calculation is the payback period?

    A generic 'pays back in 4 years' line is not true for every roof and puts you in a corner at the survey. Payback and yield estimates should come only after a survey, from your own calculation. Check that the agency will not put unsourced figures on your site.

  • Does the survey form screen enquiries?

    A form asking only for a name and phone number puts tenants, unsuitable roofs and the merely curious in the same inbox. A form asking about roof ownership, type, area and the monthly bill does the first screening before anyone drives out.

  • Are the plant photos real?

    Stock panel photos are the same on every solar site, and investors recognise them. Decide up front that photos come from roofs you built, taken with the client's permission, and who gives that permission.

Asked before the proposal

Can the site have a solar calculator?

It can, but only with the yield and cost assumptions you use; without that data the number misleads. We build the calculator on your formulas and tables and carry the result to the quote form; this sits in the panel band.

Can we show the brands we are a dealer for?

Yes. Brand, product and certificate details sit on a separate page. We suggest checking each brand's terms for logo use.

Does agricultural irrigation solar need its own page?

Yes; a farmer's question differs from a factory's, and the search uses different words. The irrigation page carries its own form asking for pump power, well details and the electricity subscription.
